PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

The bottom of the Storm Sniper is not without its own innovative features. The large, multi-position swivel feet will keep the case securely upright but can be replaced with the included rubber feet we saw earlier should the user wish to do so. Mesh panels provide plenty of ventilation for the PSU and an optional 120/140mm fan.

After removing a pair of thumbscrews, the side panel comes off to reveal the inside of the Sniper. As you can see, there are several mounting holes on the panel allowing the user to mount an optional 200mm or a pair of 120mm fans. I like what I'm seeing here, so let's take a closer look inside.
Starting at the bottom, you can see the PSU air intake and the filter for an optional 120-140mm fan. Note the anti-vibration strips that the PSU rests upon and the ventilation scheme for said power supply. Cooler Master's design virtually eliminated any chance of the intake becoming blocked by thick carpeting or other obstacles. Here's a good example of an excellent design well executed.

At the rear is the 120mm exhaust fan, seven ventilated expansion bay covers, with tool-free locking mechanisms and the so-called “StormGuard” feature that is designed to keep unscrupulous individuals from making off with your wired keyboard and mouse. We'll look at this feature in more detail during the installation phase of this review.
