The USB connector is gold plated and the cord is made out of a flexible braided material. Both of these features are becoming more common to see on gaming mice.
PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING

The included software takes only a few minutes to install. I accepted all the default settings and the drivers installed without a hitch. You can also do a driverless execution if you're at a LAN party or using a public PC. Choosing this kind of setup will search for the Inferno and load initial mouse settings right into it.

The main control screen allows you to adjust DPI levels, change button assignments, and tweak settings such as motion sensitivity, double click speed, and button response time. You can then save all your settings to a profile and load it right into the onboard memory of the Inferno. That way if you move the mouse to another PC, all of your settings will be retained.

The Storm Tactics page is where you can configure combo key commands for quick execution while in a game. Once you've set up the commands, simply press the Storm Tactics key with the button(s) assigned to activate the command.

A gaming mouse just isn't a gaming mouse without macros. An entire screen is dedicated to recording your favorite keyboard and mouse inputs and saving them to a profile. A macro can be assigned to your choice of buttons 3-9, but by default it is assigned to the MacroPro key located next to the right click button.
