PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
The new 840 comes in either silver or black and, at less than thirty pounds, is relatively lightweight for a chassis of this size. Three large fans, with placements for a couple more, handle cooling chores for the wide variety of hardware that can be installed in the 840. We'll go over all this a bit later, but I'm very impressed by the specifications and feature set. I think you will, too.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION
Aside from being very large, the carton is rather plain and the packaging is the standard plastic bag sandwiched between two foam blocks. However, as you'll see shortly, “plain” and “standard” are not words that will get much use in the rest of this review. As you can see, we've got a silver 840 here…
…but it comes in black, too. Let's get the packaging out of the way and take a closer look at this big, bad boy.
