PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The flashy red and black box is typical of CM Storm products, and potential buyers can flip open the front cover to get a better look at the mouse. The Spawn can be had for a reasonable $49 US from online retailers.

With the packaging gone, we are left with the mouse and a quick start guide. My review sample did not include a software CD but according to Coolermaster, the retail bundle will include a CD. Either way, the most up to date version of the software is always available on the CM Storm website.

PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

The claw-grip nature of the mouse gives the Spawn its unique appearance. It's shorter and wider than a palm-grip mouse, and it lacks the prominent “arch” found on them. The stylish red and black colors are eye-catching without being too flashy.

Instead of hanging over the side, your ring finger has a dedicated “lip” to rest on top of the mouse. Also note the rubber grip area. This helps reduce hand sweat and improve control.
