APACK ZEROTHERM CF800 INTRODUCTION

PC enthusiasts are always on the lookout for better CPU cooling solutions. While many of them want maximum cooling, there are some who put a premium on quiet cooling. For the most part, coolers with the best performance are the worst offenders in the noise department. Many users resort to fan speed controllers to keep the noise down when CPU demands are low, only ramping up fan speed when needed. Wouldn't it be nice to have a cooler that automatically regulated its speed according to demand? This time out, we'll be testing another cooler from a relative newcomer, Apack. Their ZEROtherm CF800 cooler promises to do just that. In a recent review, I was very impressed with Apack's CF900 cooler. Let's see how the Apack ZEROtherm CF800 stacks up to its all-copper sibling.

APACK CORPORATE PROFILE

Apack, a relative newcomer to the consumer retail PC cooling market, is a Korean company and has been in business since 1999 serving the OEM market. Apack is a heatpipe technology based thermal solution innovator, providing customized design and engineering solutions and, ultimately, best-of-breed thermal solutions (i.e. PC cooling , Telecom System Cooling, Heating Roller, and Solar collector) to and for its clients. It has business relationships with several major manufacturers including Intel, Samsung, and LG. Unfortunately, distribution in North America seems to be extremely limited, but I'm sure that Apack won't ignore this huge market much longer.
