CES DAY 3 COVERAGE

INTEL

Intel's booth along with their neighbor Microsoft were both a couple of the largest displays at CES as well. Intel was really focused on showing the public the benefits of their industry leading Core 2 Duo and Quad core technology. To show the benefits they had several computers set up to show of the gaming, application and media benefits of running one of their processors. The booth was packed with eager participants wanting to see for themselves what they have been reading and hearing about Intel's new line of processors.

MICROSOFT

Beside Intel was Microsoft's huge display covering all their software interests. From gaming to communications, productivity to operating systems, Microsoft has a subsection manned with a team to answer any specialized questions. There was so much going on in this booth that it was a little overwhelming, although interesting. But we still had to move on quickly to cover everything we needed to get done in less than 5 hours.

HEWLETT PACKARD

HP was another popular booth for people to check out what is HP's latest in printers along with computers, LCD monitors, digital cameras, LCD TVs and various other small handheld electronic appliances. As one of the world's largest OEM computer builder, HP has strengthened their product lineup by taking over Voodoo Computers who were based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Seeing Dell took over Alienware to create an enthusiast line of computers, HP had to do the same to stay in the game. The only difference is, HP is vowing not to change the way Voodoo made their special enthusiast systems, but just want to develop it further with their tremendous R&D budget. Here's hoping they succeed seeing the Voodoo Computers I saw on display were amazing to say the least.
