DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
Digital Experience was much like what I experienced at CES Unveiled but being twice as large. Jackie and I hit the floor hard to find out about the new products for 2010 and to acquire and refresh our press relationships with several key companies.
oo lala!
The Safari theme for this event had this random scantly clad creatures meandering through the crowds and geeks were nearly snapping their necks off trying to get a look at them as they quietly strolled by. The looks on people's faces were hilarious.
SANDISK
SanDisk was our first stop of the day and they had the industry leading assortment of every conceivable type of flash memory available. Seeing this is a poplar type of technology with everyone needing memory for their camera, PSP, smartphone and netbook, Tweaknews will be covering more of these types of products in 2010. Storage is huge this year and you never can have enough of it.
LEXMARK
Lexmark had some interesting laser and inkjet printers on display. Take this multifunction X466de laser unit for example. Not only does it print but it also has fax, copy, email, and several other capabilities. It also sports an internal hard drive. The large color touch screen makes operating the unit easy and the screen can be customized to display only the features you need. In the near future I hope to take a Lexmark printer for a test run and see how it stacks up against the competition.
