SHOWSTOPPERS (cont'd)
MAD CATZ
One surprise I found tucked back in the rear corner of showstoppers is this small company with a product line that surpasses most industry leaders currently dominating the keyboard and computer mouse market.

The Eclipse lifetouch keyboard they had on display was a real retail product and was fully functional as they demonstrated how having a lcd customizable side touch panel can benefit the day to day power user. With three settings, the pad can be a standard number pad, a media control pad or a customizable pad with 12 icons you can assign to a certain task or website when touched. For instance the finance button could directly go to your bank website etc.
Overall till now this has been one of the better product releases we have been introduced to at this year's CES.
ZALMAN
We attended a party hosted by Zalman where we were able to take a look at their new products being released soon. More in-depth coverage will come in a couple days. This is just a brief introduction.
Zalman, long known for superior aftermarket cooling products, has several new offerings for 2010. They can provide cooling solutions for the latest VGA, CPU and laptop offerings from most major manufacturers with their traditional emphasis on quiet cooling. All of us were very impressed by the quality of these products and look forward to evaluating them in the future.

While Zalman has always been on the cutting edge of quiet, yet high performance cooling solutions, their products have never been what most people would consider cheap. For 2010, consumers can expect top-notch cooling at a more mainstream cost thanks to Zalman's continuing efforts to reduce design and manufacturing costs without sacrificing performance.
Consumers will also be happy to see that Zalman has a new case or two that target the mainstream user while preserving their reputation for quality construction and innovative features. Stay tuned for future reviews of the new Zalman products here at Tweaknews.
