Logitech

Logitech was in attendance with their gaming and notebook mice on display along with their excellent harmony home theater remote control systems. Also I had a chance to check out their popular Squeezebox wi-fi music system which allows you to receive internet radio and play anywhere in your house. More information on the Squeezebox can be found HERE.

Edifier

Seeing we have reviewed their speaker systems in the past, I stopped by to see what was new with Edifier. I was surprised to see that their product range has improved leaps and bounds over what was offered only a few short years ago.

To punctuate the quality improvement, Edifier's Luna5Encore won a 2010 CES Innovation Honor for this new spatial music system. I have to say, while being packed into a very busy conference room with thousands of people buzzing around, the sound quality and projection was fantastic. I couldn't believe the amount of sound coming from one piece of hardware. More on this product can be found HERE.

Microvision

Another 2010 CES Innovations award was presented to Microvision for their simple small form factor SHOWWX laser pico projector.

When connected to any sort of iPod, computer or smartphone, it can display a picture up to 200 inches without having to adjust focus. This would be great for businessmen on the go that want to have a projector with them without having to lug a large video appliance to and from meetings. More information on this very interesting product can be found HERE.

And with that, I shall wind down our first day here at CES. Although I thought today was going to be more relaxing and preparation, I was was actually very busy registering and confirming my press pass along with covering these events. Yes, I admit I forgot about CES Unveiled for some odd reason but I did make it and it was a lot of fun. I also had the pleasure of bumping into other hardware website editors as well.

Tomorrow we will kick it up another notch as my colleague and fellow writer Jackie Mueller will join me in covering tomorrow's Digital Experience event. And on the 7th, Joe Anderson will be joining us as well. This is going to be a great time for Tweaknews.
