PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The card comes packaged in a colorful box with a large photo of the product splashed across the front. On the back of the box are the features and specs.

Accessories include an S/PDIF optical adaptor and a low-profile PCI bracket. Current pricing for this card is around $50 from online retailers, and some careful shopping might even turn up a $10 rebate.

PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

The PCB on the Xonar DS is fairly small. When combined with the low profile PCI bracket, it will have no problem fitting inside many small form factor PC's. Also note that this card uses the PCI interface rather than PCI-Express.

A wide variety of connections are found on the rear of the card. From left to right we have a line/microphone input followed by front, side and center/subwoofer outputs, and a rear/SPDIF output.
