ASUS TS MINI INTRODUCTION
When one thinks of servers, he or she might get an image of a room filled with a bunch of large, powerful computers that are critical components in the flow of business operations. While servers in the corporate world have been commonplace for several years now, it's only recently that home servers are becoming an attractive solution for the modern household with a multiple PC network. On a home network, it's much easier to have a centralized point of access to serve up photos, videos, music, as well as provide a backup solution so no precious files get lost. This is where a home server comes in. Today I'm going to take the Asus TS Mini home server for a test run and see how it performs when integrated into a typical home network. Since this is a product designed for the home market, it should be easy to setup and maintain, operate quietly, and be small enough to not be in the way of other electronic equipment. Will the TS Mini live up to my expectations? Let's find out.
