Most of us know that in terms of recordable media a DVD-R disc can be written to only once, while a DVD-RW disc can be written to, erased, and then written to again. Recordable Blu-Ray discs work the same way, but the terminology for the rewritable disc is a bit different. As one might expect, a write-once recordable Blu-Ray disc is known as a BD-R. However, a rewritable Blu-Ray disc is known as a BD-RE disc. The SBW-06C1S-U drive is compatible with all of those formats, and more.
