PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

The RT-N12 has a compact, lightweight design that won't require a lot of desk space. It reminds me of a smaller version of its big brother, the RT-N16. The top of the unit has some ventilation slots for heat to escape.

The front indicators don't present any surprises; if you've set up a router before, these will be familiar to you. The LEDs will light up a bright blue when the router is powered on.

Around back we have a WAN port and four LAN ports, all color coded. There's also a reset button, WPS button, mode switch, and port for the AC adapter. Rounding out this area are two gold plated connectors for the antennas.

The bottom of the router has built-in grooves for wall mounting, as well as some rubber pads for stability if it will be sitting on a desk. The default IP address, username, and password can also be found on a sticker here.
That about does it for the walkthrough so let's get this router configured and see how it performs.
