PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

More and more HTPC case manufacturers are looking to the SoundGraph company for their excellent iMEDIAN and iMON software packages, and with good reason. First of all, SoundGraph puts out an excellent product and they have a great support system for their products. With a nicely integrated software package like this, it really makes no sense for other companies to re-invent the wheel, so to speak. This software controls not only all the media functions, but the LCD display, the IR receiver and provides functionality for the large volume knob. The rest of the specs are relatively self-explanatory and we'll be going over most of them in the sections that follow.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The box has all the info one would expect, and the contents are well packed to arrive undamaged. The manual, other documentation and the software CD are secured in a zip-bag and taped to the case wrap.

There are quite a number of accessories included with the Max. Clockwise from the top left we have a fan bracket to add another 120mm fan, a bag of screws, the manual, a 24-pin ATX cable adapter, further documentation and the software disk. The included remote comes with its own batteries and is flanked by some cable management ties and the modular plastic air dam sections. The manual is reassuringly thick, but the reason for this is that it is multi-lingual. As we'll see a bit later, the manual has a few flaws and glaring omissions, so I'll be spending a bit more time on some aspects of the installation process than I normally would.
