PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

If you're a PC enthusiast, you've almost certainly heard of Antec, and I suspect many of you have used their products. Antec is one of the oldest and most respected names in the PC aftermarket and quality and performance have always been a constant with Antec products. However, the styling and appearance of their products have been, shall we say, somewhat conservative. In the last few years, however, they've come out with some cases that have a little more pizzazz, without compromising performance. Back in 2006, we had the opportunity to review their Nine Hundred gaming case (see the review HERE) and were very impressed with the cooling and overall quality.

Now Antec has introduced their Twelve Hundred gaming chassis, touting it as “The Unbeatable Gaming Case.” So, how does one go about making a great case even better? You make it bigger and badder, of course! Please follow along as we cast a critical eye on Antec's latest chassis offering, the Twelve Hundred. There's a lot to like here, so let's get to it.

CORPORATE PROFILE

The year was 1986. Starbucks had only a few stores. Don Johnson was actually cool. The average PC had less memory than today's cellphones. And in Fremont, California, a little company named Antec was born. Antec's first employees never imagined that their upstart firm would rise to the very top of the high-performance computer components industry. But rise it did. And rather swiftly, too.

We're headquartered in Fremont, California, with additional offices in the Netherlands, Europe. We've also established distribution partnerships throughout Australia and Southeast Asia. So you'll find Antec products in over 25 countries. But no matter how large we grow, we'll never forget our mission: to give you the power you need to create the computer you really want. That's the Antec way. That's the Power of You.
