PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Not to often do you see a product line dominate and monopolize a genre in the computer industry. Sure, some other chip manufacturers have tried to release a competitive solution only to have it dismissed a week after its release. Why?....because you better have one amazing top product to try to encroach on a product area that ATI has lead for so long. Competition in most cases can lead to accelerated product feature enhancements when both companies feed of each other accomplishments.

But in this arena, ATI is the only fighter in this coliseum swinging away at a foe that doesn't exist. But why am I saying they are swinging away? What does that mean? It is simple really. In most cases in any monopoly situation, the company or development department will tend to get lazy and product enhancements will be a lot slower than if they had some competition, but this does not apply to ATI. Although they are the lone fighter, they are still fighting to get their product better and better with every product release. I know this first hand seeing I have reviewed practically every All in Wonder release since the AIW 7500 which was over 3 years ago (time flies when you have a good product).

Today I will be throwing one of ATI's latest wonder releases through the Tweaknews grinder to see just how well this swiss army card fares in my office.
