PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

The feature list (from AeroCool's website) touts the power button and fan that I mentioned in the introduction, but goes on to list some other impressive-sounding attributes. We'll check them all out a little later. For now, let take a look at the specs.

Looks like we have a 0.6mm steel mid-tower chassis. This makes for a lightweight case, but it takes a very good design to keep it from being flimsy. We'll see. The 40cm fan (that's almost 16 inches, folks) turns at a leisurely 400 RPM while still managing to push 250 CFM at a silent 12dBA. It's the only fan provided, however, and the air needs to move through and out of the case to do any good. We'll be paying a lot of attention to this during the testing phase of this review.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The case comes in two color choices. Our sample is the all-black version, but the AeroRacer is also available with a red bezel. Aside from color, they are identical.
Inside the colorful and informative carton…

…we find the chassis wrapped in tough plastic and nestled between two foam blocks. This is pretty standard packaging and the case arrived in perfect condition. The high-gloss door finish is further protected by a plastic sheet during shipping. The manual and hardware are inside the case and we'll take a look at them in the next section.
