PRODUCT COMPOSITION AND WALKTHROUGH

The top of the enclosure, AC Ryan is written clearly yet stylishly, below is the vertical mounting clip.

Here you can see the Alubox mounted on its upright stand, pretty stylish and thanks to the smaller footprint it will take up less desk real estate.

On to the business end. The back of the unit sports all the connections and the eSATA/USB switch. Don't forget to set the switch to the connection type you are using or your drive won't show up. You will also notice the 4 pin power connection, this elevates the need for internal circuitry to split the power into the necessary voltages for the hard disk, saving space and again lowering unnecessary heat buildup. The lower image shows the 4 pin power jack.

The front of the enclosure is fairly spartan, a chrome surround with a gray plexiglass front panel. The 3 horizontal slots are illuminated by a blue LED to indicate the drive is on.

The enclosure has a near mirror finish as you can see although the texture of the brushed aluminum can be seen and felt. I like the way it looks but fingerprints are somewhat of an issue.
