SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 970P INTRODUCTION
With LCD/FlatPanel sales dominating the monitor industry, every monitor manufacturer has shifted their product focus to what is now the new monitor standard. Most questions I answer about monitors are never about standard CRT monitors anymore. Why? Well, because why would you want to buy one when there are so many attractive flat panel monitors to choose from.
The everyday consumer usually has their first taste of LCD monitor viewing while visiting a friends house or browsing the computer product isle at your local electronics store. Like me, when you first try them out, you are hooked. You will be amazed as to just how small the monitor is and lets not forget the picture. Putting a CRT monitor and an equivalent LCD monitor side to side with the same picture will be like sitting at the beach and having your mother stand beside a bikini model. Not a pretty sight is it, and when you view this in person (the monitors silly), you will see what I am talking about. The picture quality on a LCD monitor is so much sharper, brighter, and let's not forget the vibrant color reproduction.
A couple years ago everyone except gamers were starting to line up to buy one. The gamers wanting no ghosting were still stuck with a standard monitor which would leave their eyes tired and bloodshot from an overnight romp of online multiplayer gaming.....but.....not anymore.
The 970P I will be showing you today is an absolute pleasure to use whether or not you are writing a word document, or firing up your favorite game. Ghosting? What ghosting?... you will say as you game in silky smooth 6ms response time bliss.
If you are in the market for a new 19 inch LCD monitor, you owe yourself the time to read this review as I take you around your potential future purchase.

What can TFT LCD Technology do for me?
Below is just a small list of what TFT LCD technology can do for your small business or home environment.
1.) Radiation - TFT LCD technology virtually eliminates radiation which is emitted from normal CRT monitor and can promote a healthier computing environment for your children at home and/or your work environment.
2.) Low Power Consumption - LCD monitors have a power consumption of about half of the equivalent CRT monitors.
3.) Colour - Colours on LCD's are much more vibrant that CRT monitors.
4.) Physical Size - One of the main advantages is the size difference. LCD monitors cover about 30% of the desk area than a standard CRT.
5.) Viewable Area - Now here is the kicker, if you buy a 17" CRT monitor, it's safe to say that you will have an actual viewing area of about ~16". Now, when a TFT LCD is said to be 17", the viewable area IS 17", which is a far more honest approach to marketing.
