The earphones themselves have also been changed. The cushion surrounding is thicker outwards from the speaker base, but is also thinner around the speaker. The has lead to an amazing difference in overall comfort and sound quality seeing my ears are fully encapsulated leading to less sound loss. The difference is night and day compared to the standard 5H.

The earpieces can be extended to meet the size of your god awful geeky cranium. I'm serious, geeks like us have huge heads and if yours is anything close to mine, you will be extending these to their furthest setting just to squeeze that orange on a toothpick between these bad boys. With everything stretched out, they fit perfectly. There is a little ache from the top padding, but that went away in a day after the cushion broke in. Overall a worthy sacrifice to use and enjoy one of the finest headsets I have had the joy of reviewing here on Tweaknews.
Hardwired to the headset is a three foot lead which again is covered with a woven covering for durability. Luckily there is the extension seeing three feet of cable would be a challenge to use when your computer is under your desk.
Roughly half way you will have your inline volume control which also controls your microphone volume. There is also a clip on the rear for attaching the control to your shirt or on your belt. Overall, it works perfectly.
