Turning the monitor around, you'll notice just how simple
this monitor is. Everything is kept to an absolute minimum in order
to keep the monitor as thin as possible. The only missing feature is
the ability to swivel the monitor from side to side due to the lack
of any rotation mechanism in the base. But, the monitor is so light
you can easily move it with fingertip pressure.
At the bottom of the base is three simple connections.
From left to right you have the power, DVI and analog connections. This
monitor is capable of being hooked to two computers simultaneously.
With a press of a menu button you can swap from one display to another.
Need a thin monitor? The 172X measures in at a measly
3/4 of an inch to make it definitely one of the thinnest LCD monitor
panels on today's market. With the base included, the total depth from
rear to front is just under 7 1/2 inches. With a normal 17 inch CRT
monitor measuring 16 inches wide and 16 inches deep, you can easily
see the amount of desktop real estate this monitor will liberate.
The base allows the user to adjust the viewing angle in
a variety of configurations for viewing comfort. You can even orientate
it to lay completely flat if needed.
