Hi everyone,
I've just got a new P4 2.6ghz processor, Asus P4P800 and 2x512mb Corsair Twinx PC3200 Ram running in dual channel mode. One of the first things i did after building the system was run Sandra's benchmarks to see how much better it was than my old pc.
First time through, having changed nothing in the BIOS, the memory bandwidth score was around 4700mb/s which is about right. After playing with various settings though, it has dropped to 4100-4200 and I can't figure out why. I've changed all settings back to default but the bandwidth score is still low.
Anyone shed some light on this sudden drop in performance?
