|
|
I have the following in me lil hatchback:
Alpine CDA-9830 head unit
2 x Pioneer 120w door speakers
2 x Sony Xplod 160w 6x9's
2 x Kenwood 200w 6x9's
2 x 12 inch Alpine Type R subs in sealed custom enclosure
1 x 12 inch JBL GT4-12 sub in same sealed custom enclosure
1 x Sony Xplod 1200w 2 channel amp
1 x Sony Xplod 1100w monoblock D-class amp
2 gauge amp wiring
Its hard to believe I can fit three 12 inch subs in the boot of a Renault Clio Mark 1!!! But thanks to me dads help the custom box is sweeeet. So how does every1 rate this system? Feedback would be much appreciated. I am only 16 but have got my car ready for when I can drive at 17. |

wow, that's alot of equipment in a little damn car! From the variety of stuff, though, it sounds like you robbed a pawn shop and want to install ALL of it . I'm personally not a big fan of mixing speakers (i.e. different models of subs, etc). You'll have to get us some PICS! _________________ |¤| |

|
|
Most of this equipment has been purchased from ebay, with the main stuff like the head unit and amps being bought from America via ebay. damn cheap i can tell ya! Thanx America for savin me alot of money . And as I am only 16, the money for all this has not come in large quantities! (I go to college) When i first started this install I was abit weary of mixing makes, but because of my financial situation Alpine all the way through was not possible! with the job complete I am extremely pleased! I believe the Alpine headunit has alot to do with the sound quality produced e.g. bass engine, sub settings, etc and Sony Xplod amps are known for their bassier output.
These are the pictures i have at the moment, but they are not up-to-date. Since these were taken I have modified the appearance excessively. So would you say this is a good system, and what are the good/bad points about the specific equipment listed? The only thing i dont have is a power cap. Do I actually need one? Your help is much appreciated. :)

[1] Hold your picture up to the screen
[2] Secure it with a piece of Scotch tape

You need to have an image hosting service to host the picture and then use the Img button before and after the image URL for it to post. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Looking pretty schweet. Personally, i'm a fan of trying to blend the boxes and speakers into the vehicles stock look but that thing is sure to catch a few eyes. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

cheerz peeps! Well since the pictures were taken i have removed the parcel shelf and fitted clear perspex with MDF frame where 2 speakers go, and also put in two blue computer case fans to keep the amps cool (they run off 12v). Bright idea hey??! |
