I would recommend a full format and reinstall of the OS.
The upgrades never go well and something is always missed or messed up.
Try to uninstall and reinstall all your USB devices to see if it will refresh the system manager. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Fully agree.... clean install rocks and besides... a perfect opportunity to clean up slot of those shitty programs that seems to pile up.
Another good advice, make a seperate partition for the OS, for XP make the C partition 4 or 5 GB, found this to be a good size.
And then another partition where you install all programs and store data.
That way you can keep most programme settings if you need to re install OS in the future...just install the programmes again in the same folder on the other partition and most of them will remember old settings. _________________ Opteron170 @ 2.8 Ghz - NexXxoS XP AMD64, NexXxoS NVXP-3, NexXxoS NB-SLI1 Northbridge
