|
|
| I read an article about the Vantec NXP-205 fan controller. It was mentioned that the lights vary in intensity and fade as the fan speed is lowered. It then went to say that the Mitron RH-35 was a better choice since the lights stayed constant as the speed was adjusted. Anyone have any experence with the Mitron RH-35? |

No, I haven't but I would like the LED's dimming per the fan speed for reference.
What's the point of having LED's then if they serve no purpose. _________________ Owner & Administrator

I have both of these. The NP-205 doesn't fade with fan RPM. And it only controls one fan.
The Aerogate is a nicer unit in my opinion. It has 4 temp probes and can control 4 fans.
But just remember opinions are like mustangs, every one has one =)
[EDIT: I stand corrected I was thinking of the wrong item from vantec I was thinking of the NXP-101. So disregard earlier info on the "NP-205" ( I even got the model number wrong) I will sit quietly in the corner now : EDIT] _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

I'll recomend the NXP 205... http://www.jab-tech.com//customer/product.php?productid=1821&partner=gk22coe
This one is great, it puts out enough watts on each channel to run my tornados at full speed _________________ p4 3.0c @ 4ghz, Kingston hyperx pc3200 2X256 2-2-2-5 , abit ic7-g vdimm volt modded, Wd Raptor 36 gb

| What would happen if you hooked 2 fans to run on 1 controller? |

| What I meant to say was what if you had 2 fans hooked together and tried to run them off 1 dial using 5 fans in total. |

i cant remember what would happen but it would either run the two fans at the same speed - dividing the power among the two fans.... or run the two fans at the right speed but drain the power also... i think... i dunno its 3 am. and i should sleep _________________ Remember When Sex was safer than racing???

You would have to see the watt capacity of each dimmer and/or switch.
You can't overload them or they will blow. _________________ Owner & Administrator
