Can no longer save jpegs...what happened?

Whenever I go to save a .jpg (picture) file, I only get the option to save as a bitmap (.bmp). I have gone to numerous sites with the same results. What has happened, and how can I fix this? Thanks so much.

First of all, what program are you using to see your JPEGs.

Second, you can use ACDSee to convert files from one type to another or open it in Paint, PSP, Photoshop and just save AS, then select the file type and save it.

Thanks. Turned out I just had to delete my temp Internet files for some reason.

It's been a problem with IE for a while now. If you search Google for something like [IE temporary files jpegs], you'll see a bunch of people having the same problems.
