i'm new to overclocking computers. i need help on overclocking a p4 2.66 Ghz on a Asus ps8x-8 mb.

Since the multyplier is locked i pushed up the fsb and now i'm at 3000 with 600 fsb.
Is that the way to do it ??? How about the vCore ?

50 deg. C????
You sure? hehe

I have my machine OCed to 3.078 GHz, and my temps are:
21 deg C for CPU
30 Deg C for Mobo

I think you have a slight problem there! hehe

brandon, with ur diggy u have a edmark of like 18k... is that with the pro edition u buy off the net? or is it just the one u download for free? cause i getting like 8000 on the free one. (it has 16 tests)

I think you guys are reading the temps backwards.

Its probably more like 26C mobo and 50C CPU for Panozzo

and 21C mobo and 30C CPU for Brandon.

yeah i noticed i was reading the temperatures on the asus probe... the two temps were inverted. Damn program! now i downloaded the new version.
I brought fsb up to 170 (3.2ghz) but my system keeps restarting after a while. The temp is around 50.
need help
