overclocking @1:1 with a FSB greater than 233MHz, I seem to have problems (jagged polygons flickering, tearing?) with opengl in Quake 3 and CS 1.6 (steam) but not with CS 1.5. Do not get this problem with a lower FSB

Systems specs as follows:

Abit IS7-G
1GB Dual chan Corsair PC4000
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
AGP/PCI bus is locked of course
vsync enabled and disabled

other notes:
-system is perfectly stable even with stock hsf even up to and a bit past 3.0GHz 1:1 overclock
-have tried upping the agp voltage up to 1.65 to no avail
-system appears capable of 1:1 overclock up to 3.2 but will reboot when booting the desktop (need more cooling which will be taken care of)

any help to this problem would be MUCH appreciated. I for the life of me from what i've read cannot find any resolution to the prob.
