Hello, I have a Gigabyte 939 (GA-K8n-F9 Ultra) board that has problems on voltage (the -5v rail goes till -13v, and the -12 rail goes -7v), altough the connector for the cpu fan doesn't run, I have connected it to another connector to get my 4200x2 cooled by an Arctic Cooling freezer pro 64, I actually can only go till 2600Mhz stable, my processor requires many voltage, I run it at 2930 Razz and cpu-z verified, but I think I can go even further with water cooler and a stable 939 board .
Even my Gigabyte board does a jump between 1,55v and 1,65v where I sure can get the 3 Ghz, but because of that voltage it gets really hot! Confused
Some recommendations on what 939 board to go after the 3Ghz barrier with a watercooled cpu?
My temps on idle are actually 35º at 1,4v. @ 2,6Ghz on load it will sure go 58º or more!!
I read some stuff on making a custom watercooled system with 1/4 tubes, what you all think on what I must do to get my x2 under 50 clocked at 3Ghz or more?
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU TO HELP ME
And what cooling for a Q6600 That I have actually clocked at 2,7 Ghz fan cooled (by Tacens Gelus Lite) into a 3R system case (30º idle)
THANKS AGAIN!!

Have you tried a different power supply?

Sure I did, 3 ones! (450w, 500w, and the actual 420w Valeo) and still the problem is at the same rails, considering that the cpu fan connector of the board fails, I sure know the board is on it's last hours. Confused
Thanks!

Yea, your voltage regulators are on their way out and you best to get the hardware out of there before they short and destroy the cpu, memory and other components.

I had a DFI SLI DR Expert board, and it was one of the best overclocking boards made for the 939 processors. You're unlikely to find a new one, but they are available used on eBay. Watercooling will likely get you where you want to go, but it won't be cheap, and will require some overclocking skills.

As to the Q6600, look at the reviews here and elswhere for a good aftermarket cooler.

the Valeo it's Tacens Valeo power supply for doubts about it.

Well I'll change the board, it was a great one this gigabyte but I did surpass the line with it and this is the price.

I think I'll put the new Thermolab Baram on my x2 and prepare a good watercooling stuff for my q6600 I'll made it custom I saw a Eheim Compact 1002:9,4*5,4*7,8 cm for 27€ I'm thinking to get 2 ones for back up, and trying to find a dual line cpu block to have them both in line it will be interesting such a performance, I'll need a big reservoir but I have many space on my 3R case, and still got another bigger case :)
Some references for a good performance system? I'm trying to contact Ketchak for some block and reservoir.
Thanks to [TN] Nathan to directly tell the problem "onboard" hehe
If you get notice about a 939 board please tell me!

I just bought a newjet 1700 pump
1700l/h
28,3333333l/min
0,472222222222l/sec.

and a pico 1200 pump (1120l/h) for having some replace if needed
Waiting for the newjet to design my quad core project Razz
I'll make it custom, tired to see reviews for kits "not for overclockers" and if they do it's "only" 240€ or even more..........
