My office recently switched to Office 2007 and ever since then I have been having problems with Outlook slowing down my machine. From what I have learned about this program is that it will consume any available RAM and then let some of it go if another program requests it. However, this is slowing my machine at work down considerably. I'm watching it take upwards of 340 megs of RAM at times. Although it's supposed to "let go" of any RAM that is being requested by other programs, it definitely doesn't seem to be doing it in a timely fashion. Does anyone know of a way to stop it from being such a RAM whore?

Go to microsoft update and dl any available updates for it.

Also, unload any plugins you don't need included in the software. The plugins are what suck the ram.

Also, you might want to do some system optimization to free up more memory.
