I recently had a run in with the vundo virus. This virus replicates itself and generates random filenames, making it very difficult to find and clean. It causes pop up adds, and downloads other adware, spyware and viruses. The best way to clean the threat is to download vundofix, deleting all temporary files, internet cookies and temporary internet files. This can be done by downloading the program cleanup! and running it. Next run vundofix, and restart the computer.
After running vundofix, I'd recommend running cleanup again, and then run a registry repair program to remove vundo's registry entrees that are no longer valid.
Hope this helps someone... _________________ P4 3.2ghz
