Hi guys,

I'm a newbie here and am looking for some guideance.

i have just bought an Alpine MRD-M500 & Audioban Flame Q AW1206T and i am wondering what parameters i should input into the alpine amp for the low pass filter and the subsonic filter settings?

it will be in a sealed box to start with before moving to a ported one!

any ideas?

Cheers
Si

Low pass I would set to 80Hz and I would turn the sub sonic filter off seeing you don't have a tuned box.

Yes it is.

TBH, I liked the sound in a sealed better than ported any day. Nice punch.

ok, so the subsonic filter should be set to the port frequency for a ported enclosure i'm assuming?

also i know sub woofers and non-directional but is there a noticeable (apart from visual) difference in mounting the subwoofer reversed, ie magnet facing out, that normal, ie cone facing out.?

Cheers

Yes,

Keep it so the magnets are inside the box.
