I/O activity

Hey guys,

I've got this question on an assignment where my prof is asking me to describe the sequence of I/O activities that take place in the following scenario:
"Traffic surveillance is done by storing image files on disk periodically"

Now, I understand i/o processing so that's not the issue, I'd be able to answer this question if only I knew what it was asking for... Anybody know what he means by traffic surveillance? Do you think he's talking about taking screenshots of activities that are being done by different users on some server for security reasons or what? I don't have any more detail than what I've quoted...

honestly, it sounds to me as if the question is asking you to describe I/O using a traffic corner. Like a light on a street? Thats the way i would describe it.

Uhm..it sounds like hes taking the scenario of a traffic cam on a steet corner. It saves image files to a disk every now and then to report traffic....sooooo the I/O would be like...

Input image to cam eye........transmit data to server.....save image file on dick....yadda yadda....

..just a hunch, im sure it way more involved.

LMFAO thats hilarious. Is there no bad word filter anymore. I noticed on one of my posts that the bad word went through.
