We are all geeks here so question i just got a megadrive 2 with a bunch of games $5 but the av cable doesn't want to connect and sit in the port of the back of the megadrive which is driving me nuts any ideas on why or how to go about making it work? _________________

Megadrive? You're saying AV cables so I would assume this isn't like a hard drive. When you say aren't sitting right, can you clarify a bit better? Or perhaps a picture of what the issue is if you can.
From my experience with AV cables if they don't sit right you can bend the outter tabs in a bit so that it's a tighter fit. Or if the problem is opposite you can bend them out a bit so they fit around the outer connection.
If they don't go into the hole at all then I would reconsider what cables you are using and make sure you have the right type of cable.
If they go in the hole a bit and then stop, not allowing the outer tabs to make the connection I would check inside the hole and make sure there is nothing in there. It could be possible that a prong was broken off in there.
