Anyone done this before? I don't have a usable floppy. And Im too cheap to go buy more when all I ever use them for is this stupid F6 screen.

I have a very good 512mb USB key. Windows Recognizes this as drive f. Removable drive.

I need to reinstall my windows MCE on my rig, I have a Highpoint Raid 2310 card running dual WD Raptor 150's and dual WD wd4000yr 400gb drives both in stripe arrays.

So has anyone done or heard of booting a windows installation F6 using a USB key instead of a Floppy?

I have a A8N-SLI Premium board.

Thanks fellas
Daniel

I was looking into slipstreaming the driver into the installation. Anyone know how to do that? I was looking at the program N-lite.

Anything you guys can help me with in that department?

well no luck on the third disk, I finally got to reading about using nLite. I set it up, removed components I dont use, and well... using that program also burned the disk, and Voila!!! She boots. Just fine. Drivers installed very easily.

I tried a method from maximum pc where I have to write and edit sif files, and such.

Each attempt had something wrong with it.

nLite writes it all for you so you basically select what you want and Bam follow the steps. I highly recommend it.

OKay all is good now, seems that my updates took care of it.

Try to make sure you update everything or add that to the slipstreamed disc.

Other than that. Its all good.
