We will be reviewing the HR-03 soon. Should make for a great review.

Maybe we'll see if we can get this one to review as well.

Guys, PowerHungry ranks high in the realm of computer hardware.

He was once one of the head cheeses at SystemCooling.com so let's all show him the respect he deserves.

Sorry about the noob ranking, it will pass soon.

Just keep posting.

I only posted it "tongue in cheak", so to speak, but all kidding around the HR-07 could be a very interesting product.

I've been told that dealers will have a very limited supply, by as early as Friday.

Thanks guys, it looks like this will be my second home. I'm still active on PCPerspective.com (been there since 2000) and do a review here and there.

But, mostly retired, while still doing some industry consulting and tech support, just enough to keep me in trouble

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I did it the old fashioned way, I started to review items I had purchased and had an idea as to the way I wanted to write. So I submitted a review to a site and they posted it.

My idea was to write reviews without all the mumbo jumbo of technical jargon and instead write reviews that the average person could understand and at the same time get the information they needed to make an educated purchase.

Being an Industrial Engineer by trade, I could wrtite techical reviews, but I thought tooo many people were alread doing that, so I wrote according to the old adage "keep it simple stupid".

Along those lines, I was the first to review heatsinks in a closed case environment. Why?? Because that is how most people run there machines. One thing led to another and companies started sending me stuff to review.

I had a simple rule, If I review it I keep it, no exceptions. If I don't review an item, I would ask the company sending the item what they wanted me to do with it, send it back or donate the item.

I usually did high-end type products, the best cases, mostly aluminum, and high performance heatsinks.

If I ended up as a consultant for a company, I stopped reviewing their products, rather than cause a conflict of interest.

I know this has been long winded, but you asked!!

Just a few more thoughts; the fact that I was an engineer and over 50 years old didn't hurt, either!!

No company will give you any profucts until you are established so reviewing your own hardware is the best way to start.

Most companies do not give out to freelance writers.

I've gotten stuff that way, but its because of a proven track record.

Anther point I think deserves mention is reputation. Free stuff is all well and good but becoming a respected reviewer is far more valuble than a couple of free bits of hardware.
