Well, seeing the way my P4X400 has been behaving lately, I though that maybe this new IDE busmaster driver couldn't hurt.

Guys, this has really helped my system and incresed it's performance quite a bit.

Find the file here:

http://downloads.viaarena.com/drivers/IDE/VIA_IDE_MPD_V320b.zip

Unzip it, install it. It will then ask you to reboot. Let the system reboot completely and install the new drivers. It will then ask you to reboot again. Do it and you will have an Via icon in your system tray.

Right click on the system tray, and choose Launch. Click your drives one by one and in the lower right hand corner you can set their transfer rates. After each drive setting change, click File->Save.

When all the drives are configured properly click File->Commit Change.

The system will again reboot and you can enjoy the extra snap your computer will have. I know I noticed a difference on mine.
