Hello everyone. Here is my setup, ATI AIW 7500 with Samsung 191T in DVI mode and Windows XP. Fortunately, I am able to get the DVI working in Windows, but not in booting (first boot screen, and Windows XP Splash). When I am booting, all I see is "Video mode, not supported" in 191T. But if I wait longer, when it boots all the way to Windows XP user login screen, the DVI mode suddenly works. I am guessing this problem has to do with AIW 7500 BIOS not being compatible with DVI mode. Analog is always fine.
If there is anyone out there who has ATI AIW 7500 with Samsung 191T + DVI, can you please tell me if your boot screen works? If so, please post your ATI card BIOS part number so I can compare mine.
Thank you very much in advance. |

I have the same deal with mine.
When it says video mode not supported, hit the exit key on the monitor and sometimes that will help.
Other than that, it does that to me. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Nathan, thank you for your kind reply.
I am wondering if this is a problem for other video cards that you tried? Or do you find this problem to be fixed in other video cards? If so, which one?
Thank you. |
