how do i overclock my p4 3.2ghz and p4p800se?

how do i overclock my p4 3.2ghz and asus p4p800se mother board?? I have had this system for over 17 months but i dont know how to over clock. Every time i put overclock 5% or more i cant boot my pc it wont turn on my monitor.


woudl someone be so kind as to teach me step by step on how to over clock my computer?

Welcome to TweakNews!
First of all, you're going to need to familiarize yourself with your BIOS and its options. IMO one should always OC from the BIOS. Read the stickies at the top of this forum. There is also a topic dedicated to this board here:

Like Mojo said there have been several posts in this section on overclocking to be read.

You also need to give specific information, such as which p4 3.2G processor. There have been more than one of them. Also the brand and model of the memory you are running is very important.

There are also cooling and power supply issues that hinder a proper overclock.
