I have two Audiobahn 1206T's. Each sub can handle 1100W RMS and they are 4 ohm DVC. What size/brand amp should I go with? Also I have a small sealed box, and would the sound be affected at all if I reverse mounted them both to show off the flames on the sub?

Keep the baskets in the box.....better sound that way, even if wired out of phase.

Get a mono amp. Something that puts out 250w at 8ohms would be perfect....

Then, when you wire them all in parallel...it'll push close to 1000w at 2 ohms.....get a good amp....or you'll be sorry.

Just in general, since I have two 1100W rms subs, do I need a 2200 RMS amp? or an 1100rms amp?

Well in general....consider it 1000w for ease of math. and the fact that that extra 100w wont mean much difference in sound, if at all.

You either need a 2 channel 2000w amp......which i dont reccommed running subs in 2 channel.

Or a 1 channel 500w amp to push them both in parallel.

Since they are dual voicecoil subs....and if im doing my math correctly....you should need a 1ch 250w amp at 8ohms...since once you wire in parallel, it doubles the output of the amp, since it lowers the resistance.

So that 250w gets double to 500 for 1sub DVC......and then again for the second sub.

Sandness.....a little reassurance?

a 1 ohm stable amp would be ideal, once you wire the voice coils up, each sub is at 2ohm, from there the two can be wired to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm.
You'll need a much more powerfull amp to drive them at 4 ohm then at 1 ohm, but not every amp is 1ohm stable.

power accoustic A3000DB puts out 2300watts RMS at 1 ohm and 1100 at 4ohm,

rockford fosgate T20001bd puts out 2000watts RMS at 1 ohm and 750 at 4ohm

soundstream PCA2000D puts out 2000watts RMS at 1 ohm and 1100 at 4ohm,

there are others out there, be sure that they put out 2000watts at 1ohm or 2000watts at 4ohm. 2000watts at 4ohm will probably cost more.

Getting a high power, 1ohm stable mono amp would be your best bet with all the coils in parallel. As far as power goes, that's up to you. The amps meobius mentioned ought to work, although I'd personally be a bit cautious of running 2000wrms to them. Its been a few years since I've used Audiobahn subs, but I've fried a few coils with less than rated power in a simple sealed box (most forgiving enclosure). Thats my experience.
