Hello every1 =) sorri to bother u guys abt this noobish question but... It realli starts to get on my nerve since I cant solve it.

I am using a Microsoft Laser 6000 mouse right now and just installed new windows on my computer. I also installed the mouse driver that came with the package (Intelli point). IT worked perfectly fine for a few days after installed but then, .. suddenly when I right click on the desktop screen then left click, the left click starts acting as if it was right click. I need to right click again in order to make the left click work again. This happens almost everytime when i start using right click on anything... :'(

I tried using other mouse as well as reinstalling the driver, the same problem still occur.

I also ran virus checked, it found some trojans and deleted but the problem still occur

Please please please, If any1 could help I would realli realli appreciate it.. n v sorry for noobish question

thankyou very much in advance =D

Get rid of the intelli point drivers all together and just use it as a normal mouse. As a rule I never install drivers for mouses or keyboards unless they have some special function (like my old scanner mouse). Most things will pick up and use all your buttons without the crappy drivers.

Hope that helps

I sympathize with you togglehead. My touchpad is doing the same thing, and i'm using the synaptics driver that came with windows, which I have now reinstalled twice to no avail. No viruses or spyware show up either. The odd thing is though, that the buttons are only screwy when I am clicking on the desktop. They work fine when I use other programs. I tried going through all the settings, and nothing was switched. If anyone has any more ideas on the subject, they would be more than appreciated as it would save me spending 4 hours waiting for a dell customer service rep to answer the phone! Thanks!

Hi again guys,

Yup, I think we are having the exact same issue here william, the buttons gets screwy only when I am clicking on the desktop, not while running programs.
However if you managed to find a solution (before I do), please let me know =) I would realli appreciate it ^^

I'd also appreciate any advice or help from anyone who might have a solution to this problem.

An advance thanks to everyone =)

Hi guys =)

Thanks for help every1 ^^

But... seems like restoring the system didnt work for me..
Since I just installed the Windows for 5days, I try restoring it back to the beginning, an 'incomplete' showed up after rebooting the comp.. saying that i need to restore ealier dates but.... I can restore the Windows any earlier than 5days... any other days didnt work for me either :'(

Toggle, I tried with different mouses but same error still occur, therefore it is not the hardware issue I'm afraid

Im starting to get used to this clicking thing annoys me more n more everyday
