JVC XL-M700 cannot change tracks...

I have an old XL-M700 that works great unless changing tracks. It spits the dosk out, it does sometimes work. It does it on any CD, it occurs especially on burned CD's. The CD's work fine in other systems, support for it was removed from the JVC site, so Im outa luck there, I will try contacting them, if anyone knows whats wrong with it, help would be greatly appreciated... I think its a bad laser pickup assembly, but not sure...
