well, after getting a few paychecks from my summer job, I think I am going to get rid of my '96 CRT and get this one, anyone have opinions?

If you want to save some money, you can get a Hanns-G, HC194D, 19" LCD from PC Connection.com...... $239 with $120 rebate until 7/31.

Buyers are giving it good reviews. I've got Dell 1905 + a Samsung 912N, but I'm using my Hanns-G as my primary monitor. My TV tuner looks best on it.

Whatever one you do decide on, make sure it has a very fast response time if you plan on playing any games on it. 8ms or lower. Ideally you want 6ms or lower. Either or, just make sure to check that kind of stuff. Some LCDs will produce amazingly vibrant pictures, but not hold up well with gaming.

I got the 90GX2, what nox got. The 970 was out of my price range, and I had a gift card from Best Buy I found so I got it there. It really is sharp, and gaming is excellent, so much more detail. I had the guy there hook it up to a computer in the store to test it before I got it also. It was actually cheaper at Best Buy than Newegg, and then I had the gift card, so it was a pretty good deal from my end
