well, when i decided to start a new rig, i purchased the Lian Li PC75 case, and didn't really expect to do too much modding to it... with the exception of a few spray painted bezels and some interior lighting. i figured that i'd save the case modding for my old Aopen HX08. it's a decent case, but ugly as all hell. there are a few apparent design flaws, but nothing that a dremel and some patience cannot fix.

so i picked up my cutting discs, and just bought my 80mm hole saw yesterday. i'm good to go. i picked up the metalic blue spray paint that i'm going to use, and this rig should be straight up pimpin by the time i'm done with her.

i'm trying to decide if i'm going to slap a 120mm fan on the bottom front, or 2 x 80mm (one on top of the other).

any thoughts?

i'm going to punch out the two 80mm exhaust spots on the back of the case (they're stamped), and i'm going to slap another 80mm exhaust on top in addition to the window on top. there's also going to be 2 x 80mm on the side panel (intakes)... so there will be no shortage of airflow, that's for certain. it's just the front... i want it to look great.

2 x 80mm vs 1 x 120mm. hmmm.

Are you looking for it to be quiet?

Is it possible to have a quiet case with six 80s and a 120 or eight 80s?

I never have my stereo off. So a quiet case is very low in terms of consideration.

Heck I've gone to sleep with a hardcore band practicing in the same room five feet away. Silence be damned indeed.

i've decided to go with the two 80mm's... partially cause it'll be easier to just drill than dremel the holes. goind to be holidays starting tomorrow... think i'm going to start working on it.

I know for a fact that the X-Turbine case from Xoxide looks pretty darn spiffy and has the exact same thing you're doing. So you might wanna check that out if you havne't started already.
