Just built my new comp and for some reason i cant boot XP with out the xp install disk in the ROM. I set up the boot order and what not, just dont know what to do. I have never had a problem like this before. If the disk isnt in the tray it wont boot. Any help would be great... _________________ ---AMD X2 64 3800 OC 2.5---DFI LP UT nF4 SLI-D---1 gig OCZram--- BFG7900GT 256Mb(2x)---Antec 550 PSU---

Typically, this would be caused by the hard drive partitoning. Did you use XP to create the HDD partitions or a third party, or did you re-use the HDD? The partition XP resides on should be the primary partition and set as active. Some utilities ask you this, others (like windows) don't give you much choice. _________________ .
