I got a new and smaller rig to replace the bo-he-meth that I had been computing on. This was done mostly for practicaly reasons. So far I am happy with her.
Pictures to come...

And finally, here she be!
HP DV 1310 Laptop
Celeron 370 (1.5GHz, 1MB)
512 DDR (for now....he he he)
60 GB HD
DVD +/- R/RW (DL)
Media remote
Card reader
etc.
14" Wide Screen Display (1280 x 768)
All in all, she is a hell of a bargin for $540 out the door. I am quite please with my rather sudden purchase . It seems to run Photoshop and Illustrator with reasonable ease and handles multi-tasking well. I am not entirely sure what is so "celeron" about this processor b/c with the big L2 cache, It definitely doesn't run like a 1.5GHz. Now I need to find a good deal on 1GB of PC333 SODIMM.
Oh yeah, did I mention that this thing is really light? _________________ |¤

I've had my eyes on something similar. Inexpensive, relatively fast, easy to carry around. PrON in bed. w00t! _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Ahh yeah. I remember that model well. Its a few months old (like my HP) but still a sweet, sweet machine. What speed of memory was in that one again...3200? _________________ |¤

PC2700........
I think the chipset can handle DDR400 so I might upgrade it later, but for a laptop, the DDR333 is not slowing this comp down at all.
The turion Processor is impressive. _________________ Owner & Administrator
