Well,,,,,if anyone noticed....Ham and Sandness in particular, our new team disappeared. Actually they lost some hardware and had to use a recovery from January. The accounting is still there, but how it is accounted for was lost.

Not a big deal though, just a bit of inconvenience. In talks with Mr. weaZel, we figured to give it a day or two to make sure things are working okay, then he'll re-create the new team again. Most important though, IF one of you created a new node since the January restore date, you must go back into your account and add it back into your list again. This way you will get credit for all the work it has done.

And...keep an eye here for any news.

PS....a P3 node of mine today picked up the third best candidate to date....W00T...makes things seem worth while. Very Happy

I don't know what the deal is. I log in to check my nodes, it lists old nodes that are dead, no longer exist and were deleted once before. I hit add node, and it finds nothing- although it should as I used the same email when I installed new nodes when our team changed in the beginning of April. D2OL is becoming a bit of a hassle- why can't it just work? I just want to set it and forget it.

The "official" stance from D2OL is just re-create a new node, and they will try to get the "lost" nodes stats updated later.

This indeed, is becoming very inconvenient. Our new team, which now is non-existent, has suffered loss of credit for its work, which I certainly hope they recover. Looking at the stats it appears weaz has lost some cand's also.

Let's give it a bit of time to see if they get it back together. Perhaps weaz might politely mention these things on the d2ol forum, since he is....well....him.

I will see what I can do over in D2OL land. I am not sure if I lost any cands or not. But I know my production is down for some reason. I guess I will have to look at all the hardware tonight if I get a chance.

I made my comments on the D2OL forum so we shall see what comes of it.

notworthy I saw that you knocked my #3 candidate to #4.
I much prefer it be you, as some wooden shoe wearin' bovine.
It does make one feel better though to see their work on the "top" list, you have to admit.

Watch out for ronbo of free-dc. He has been crunchin' numbers like you and kb9. He should pass me later today .

Whacha think we should do about the team? Try again?

I sold another one of my crunchers so my production is down again.
I am thinking about building a pressie for here at work that I prolly will run.
My at home machines will soon be limited due to the heat of summer.

I noticed Ronbo doing some good output lately. I also know that some of the XS people are going to come back to D2OL. As of this time I am not sure how many though. One that I know of for sure is Jeff. For my records sake I hope DD doesn't come back or nhenopah or what ever his name is both would put me done on the list a ways.

I hear ya on the summer months coming. Even as it is right now the loft area is getting rather warm. So I may shut the computers down up there. That would hurt too as that includes my Dual core which kicks some tail for D2OL. HHMMM maybe I will have to move it downstairs into the techroom to keep it going Think

Just kick the thermostat down to 60, that ought to do the trick.

I would kick the T-stat down if it would actually work.

2o2c,
Very nice showing today. That is some great output! Way to Fold! Very Happy

hehe...actually that's last nights "dump" showing up. We re-did that back bedroom, and the compy in there just got inet back last night. The new D2OL stat server's "anti-cheat" method, slows up results about 6 or so hours, I've been noticing.

Replaced our thermostat to a nice new digital one, put up a couple new reflective shades, (west side) and had the AC guy come out and try and balance the air a bit, cause summer is upon us. I'll try and run crunchers as much as I can at night and early morning, to keep heat and loads down as much as I can. But, It's gonna get hot and production is gonna go down till fall I'm afraid.

I know what you mean with "it's going to get hot". Even with the temps we have right now the loft area is staying toasty. But I am going to add a few vents to get more airflow out there to try and keep it cool for as long as possible. Thankfully I have one of my DX's at work and I have another p4 at work as well that I have installed a node on. It runs about 5 to 6 days a week so that should help some. I just need to find a place to run one more DX

Well....SoS....Yes, and no.

It dwindled down to weaZ and I, and now it is just me....partially because of weaZ.

Remember he had built 4 of those dual xeon OC'd machines, just for crunching. Well, he sold me 3 of them (at a price I couldn't refuse) just so I could keep them up and running. So, they are in my stable crunching away full time, as well as a P4 2600, and a P4 1800. I also run a 3 or 4 other machines as temperature permits. Summers in Phoenix get pretty hot you know.

All that said, I am the number 8 user (and slowly gaining) and TN is the #5 team overall in the D2OL standings.

So, any help help would be accepted for the ol' [TN] team. wav

I just rejoined the team. I'll be eager to see how many cands I can get on my new oc'd rig. It runs much cooler than the Pentium D or the Pentium 550, so heat shouldn't be much of an issue anymore for me.

wav

I was just going to post a congrats...when I saw your post.

Congrats....

Since Sandness has started crunching again team tweaknews is now catching up with team M-faq. Before we were just holding steady, but in the last 28 days we are gaining. If...rather when, we pass them we will be the #4 team, only behind the big three teams DPC, Extreme systems and ARS technica. Not bad for a little team.
