Invest even in some dial-up, at least it gets you online and costs you $5. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Hurry back, or I'll have to start talking like you. And I'm not good at it.
Yeah, get dialup, just not CompuSuck. And (sorry Nathan) block VibrantMedia......it really bogs down dialup connections, with all the hyperlinks. It's the only way I could even load TN. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

I used to race Expert class, now I race "old and fat" class.
The Maguras are excellent, for DH runs. I wouldn't use them for the type of riding/racing you do. One, they're heavy, and two, they have a bit of drag that's part of the design. It's not noticable on fast downhills, but a bit of a pain on XC style courses........that's why I also have the Avids. I built two sets of wheels, both Sun Rhyno Lite rims, 14/15 Wheelsmith spokes, on Chris King hubs, so I don't have to change rotors. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Unbreakable. I have a set of Mavic Crossmax Disc that I never use, at least not around here. When I go up to Canada (Woodstock-area) I use those, just to shed a couple of pounds. I've got an Ellsworth Truth frame sitting in a box, got it from a friend who upgraded to an Id, I've just never gotten around to building it up, and I'm not sure I'd like it as much for urban riding as my hardtail. Maybe this summer, I'll give it a whirl. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Eh, it's used, I rode it when it was built with my friend's setup and I liked it, I'm just still a hardtail fanboi. Main thing holding me back is getting the new BB, King headset, and cabling/hoses for the brakes and shifters. It's not a direct retrofit from my Jamis rig, gonna cost me a couple of hundred to build it up properly. Just really haven't had the cash to drop on it. _________________ Big enough to scare you |
