| I just purchased the Logitech 5500 speaker system and I am waiting for them to come in the mail. I was wondering if I wanted to use this as my home theater system what is the best way to get the best surround sound possible. I have a dvd player, Xbox, tv and a reciever if that may help. I was thinking that if i just connect everything into the tv and have a output from a Y cable to the speakers that this would do the job. But after reading the forums i am not sure. I saw that logitech was selling that black box to convert RCA plugs into the 3.5mm jacks for the speakers. Or I was wondering if i should go and purchase a new sound card and see if iti s possible to hook up all my stuff, like my tv, xbox etc. . . to the new sound card and have it project the sound to the speakers. I dont mind having just surround sound for my dvd player, but I want all 4 speakers to play during anything, for example if i just watch tv shows. Can you plz help me with the best option for the best sound. |

mods... should go in sound section
best bet would to have them hookd up through the line out on your TV and have your computer hooked up to the TV as well,( thats what I did with my speakers. not 5500s though) _________________ P4 3.2ghz

Hey Musclebound...
Hopefully You got all fixed up with that wicked set of speakers you have.
I want a set so bad. i am using a set lower on the food chain then them.
But here is a link in tweak news i seen while looking through the old posts.
It explains it all - If I can understand it you will have no problem. lol - u can pm those guys. Hamfist - he went through a lot of trouble to help the other guys out. Big kudos to him...
