Im looking for a video card to support 3 simultaneous CRT monitors. One on each side of the center.

Anyone help out here?

Do you want to run from PCIE, AGP, PCI, or "doesn't matter" slot? Besides PCIEx16 or AGP, how many PCI slots are available for the task? Do you want to buy new cards or are used OK?

So you want 3 monitors on one card?

That looks like it will support up to four. I have no idea though just throwing something out there. Maybe ATi's work station cards would support something like your looking for.

I have one agp slot...and more than enough availble PCI slots....the cards dont have to be awesome...just enough to run MW4....*grins* everything else i need them for isnt gaming related....

i think i see where youre going though....like perhaps...add two PCI vid cars to the already existing agp?

I've got a lot of experience with multi-card setups....

I presume MW4 is a game? And you already have a powerful enough card for that?

Presuming you don't need to change your current AGP card, please tell me the make and model of the card... is it a dualhead?

One alternative is to replace your AGP card with a Matrox P750. It's a tri-head AGP.

Or, if you're keeping your AGP card, you can add:
a. Matrox G450 PCI dualhead... it has 1 VGA + 1 DVI-I port
b. Matrox G550 PCI dualhead... has a dongle splitter for either 2 VGA or 2 DVI-I
c. Nvidia has a dualhead PCI.. it's FX5200, I think.
d. 2, ATI Xpert128 singlehead VGA

So long as you are using a *genuine* maker video card (not 3rd party), most of these will work.

I would try to get the same chipset as your current vid card, just to avoid driver issues. Now, if you had an SLI board..............quad-monitor support, baby.

I have a NVidia 5600fx right now, but i havent figured out how to dual it yet.,....

but two smaller cards...or the one matrox with dual vga dongle might work too.....hmmmm

If your fX5600 is a single head card, there's no way to "dual" it. However, either of the Matrox cards should work with it. They are of the workstation variety... "high quality 2D text display" is their hallmark. Don't expect significant 3D support from them.

I believe that 5600 has DVI and VGA out and does support dual monitors. Although it won't do it with great frame rates.

It's Mechwarrior we're talking about here.............it runs at 100fps on an MX400.

Anyway, yeah, it's a dual-head card, one's a DVI port. You'll need an adapter if you only have analog monitors.........I have a few dozen, if you need one. For the second card, you can get an FX5700 for about $90, a 5200 for about $80, or even less. Those are also dual-head, so you could actually run FOUR monitors, if you wanted.............and they'd be a match for your 5600.
